Liberty Square, Timisoara

Liberty Square is the oldest square in Timisoara. The red building in front, the "Old Town Hall", was built in a baroque style between 1731 and 1734. The statue in the middle of the square was done by two Viennese sculptors, Blim and Wasswerburger and it represents scenes from the life of saint Ioan Nepomuk.
